One Better Festival 2026 in Penang: Free Shuttle, Parking, Stamp & Win & Event Guide

One Better Festival is coming back this august 2026!

One Better Festival 2026 is taking over Penang’s Esplanade this weekend, bringing together food, activities, entertainment and a Stamp & Win lucky draw with some seriously attractive prizes.
The two-day festival takes place on 22 and 23 August 2026 at Esplanade, Penang, with activities starting from 12pm onwards.
If you’re planning to visit, here’s everything you need to know before heading to the festival — including how to get there, free shuttle routes, parking and how to enter the lucky draw.

One Better Festival 2026 at a glance

One of the biggest changes for 2026 is the introduction of a large outdoor area.
Instead of being primarily an indoor car exhibition, Tokyo Auto Salon Malaysia says visitors will be able to experience demonstrations and live events alongside the usual vehicle displays.
Inside, visitors can expect:
  • Japanese and International Custom Cars
  • Aftermarket Brands and Automotive Products
  • Concept and Special-Edition Vehicles
  • New Product Launches
  • Automotive Brands and Exhibitors
  • Lifestyle and Gaming Areas
  • Shopping and Food
  • Family Activities
Meanwhile, the outdoor area will host demonstrations and participatory activities, bringing more of the action traditionally associated with automotive festivals into the event itself.

Penang Global Tourism lists the festival as a two-day event at Esplanade, with operating hours from 12pm onwards.

What can you do at One Better Festival?

One Better Festival is designed as a casual day-out event, with a mix of food, live entertainment, activities and lucky draws.

The festival is particularly interesting if you’re visiting with friends because there are interactive activities to complete rather than simply walking around the event area. Hostelworld also describes the festival as a combination of food, live performances, activities and lucky draws.

But one of the biggest attractions is the Stamp & Win challenge.

Stamp & Win: How to win the prizes

When you arrive at the festival, remember to have your Eventbrite QR Code ready.
At entry, you can collect:
  • 🎟️ Team Island / Team Mainland Wristband
  • 📝 Stamp & Win Postcard
You’ll then need to complete the designated missions around the festival and collect the required stamps.
Once you’ve completed your postcard, submit it at the Redemption Booth to enter the lucky draw.

What can you win?

The prize list includes some seriously tempting prizes:
  • 🎮 Nintendo Switch 2
  • 💻 MacBook
  • 📱 iPhone
  • 🎧 AirPods Max
  • 🚗 Proton e.MAS 5
  • & more prizes…
There’s an important catch, though.
Your postcard must be submitted at least 30 minutes before each lucky draw session begins.
So don’t wait until the last minute to complete your stamps.

Important Stamp & Win rules

Keep these in mind:
  • Participants must be 18 years old or above.
  • You must be present at the festival to claim your prize.
  • The wristband number and Stamp & Win postcard number must match.
  • Your wristband and postcard must remain complete and undamaged.
  • Submit your postcard 30 minutes before the relevant lucky draw.

In other words, don’t throw away your wristband or accidentally damage your postcard after entering.

Getting to One Better Festival

If you’re driving into George Town, parking around the Esplanade area can be tricky, especially during a busy weekend event.
Fortunately, the festival has prepared several transport options.

Free Rapid Penang shuttle buses

One of the easiest ways to get to the festival is by using the free Rapid Penang shuttle service.

The festival guide shows three shuttle routes connecting different parts of Penang to the festival area.

Route 1: Jetty, Macallum & Karpal Singh Drive

Route 1 connects the George Town/Jetty area with Macallum and Karpal Singh Drive.
Stops shown on the festival guide include:
  • Terminal A Weld Quay
  • Apartment Sri Saujana
  • Pejabat Pos Macallum
  • Lebuh Sungai Pinang
  • Jejantas Terminal Feri
  • Bank Negara Malaysia Penang
  • Dewan Sri Pinang

This is particularly useful if you’re already around the Jetty, Macallum or Karpal Singh Drive areas.

Route 2: Queensbay Mall To George Town

Coming from Bayan Lepas? Route 2 provides a connection between the Queensbay Mall area and George Town.

The guide shows stops around:
  • Hadapan Queensbay Mall
  • Jejantas Terminal Feri
  • Bank Negara Malaysia Penang
  • Dewan Sri Pinang
If you’re staying or starting your trip around Bayan Lepas, this could be one of the more convenient options.

Route 3: Gurney Plaza To George Town

For visitors coming from the Gurney area, Route 3 connects Gurney Plaza with George Town.

The route includes stops around:
  • Terminal A Weld Quay
  • SMK St. Xavier
  • Gurney Plaza
  • Padang SMK Convent
  • Dewan Sri Pinang
So you don’t necessarily need to drive all the way into the Esplanade area yourself.

Tip: Check the festival’s latest shuttle information before leaving, as actual bus timings and traffic conditions may change during the event.

Grab GroupRide: RM5 Promotion

Don’t want to drive or take the shuttle? There’s also a RM5 Grab GroupRide promotion for eligible rides in Penang.

Use The Code: GRABOBF

Follow coverage by

The promotion is:

  • RM5 off.
  • Valid for GroupRide only.
  • One redemption per user.
  • Limited redemptions while stocks last.
  • Valid for eligible Grab rides within Penang coverage.
  • Pickup/drop-off must be at Padang Kota Lama.
This makes GroupRide another option if you’re travelling with friends and don’t want to deal with parking.

Driving to One Better Festival? Here's where to park

If you’re driving, the festival guide highlights several parking areas around George Town.
Some of the suggested parking locations are around St. Xavier’s Institution and the area opposite Chew Jetty.
The festival’s parking guide marks:
  • 🅿️ St. Xavier’s Institution area
  • 🅿️ Parking near Chew Jetty
Additional parking around the surrounding George Town streets. Some of these locations are marked FREE in the festival’s guide.

One thing drivers should watch out for

The festival also reminds visitors to look out for the One Better Festival POD banner hanging at the entrance.
If you’re driving, I’d recommend arriving earlier rather than trying to find parking right before the event or lucky draw.

Plan your visit around the lucky draw

If you’re mainly coming for the prizes, don’t treat the Stamp & Win card as something you can complete at the end.
A better plan is:

Arrive → Collect Wristband & Postcard → Complete Missions → Collect Stamps → Submit Postcard → Stay For The Lucky Draw

One Better Festival 2026: Worth visiting?

If you’re looking for something to do in Penang this weekend, One Better Festival 2026 is an easy one to add to your weekend plans.

The combination of food, entertainment, activities and the Stamp & Win challenge gives you more reason to stay than a typical pop-up event. The free shuttle routes also make it easier to reach the Esplanade without having to fight for a parking spot right next to the venue.

And if you’re lucky, you could leave with anything from an AirPods Max or Nintendo Switch 2 to an iPhone, MacBook or even a Proton e.MAS 5.
