DJI Osmo Action 6
I use this mainly to capture drives in my Miata — whether it’s a chill cruise, top-down sunset, or just random moments on the road. It’s a small action camera that I can just mount and forget.
Why I Use This
I didn’t want to rely on my phone for recording drives — overheating, battery drain, and stability were always an issue.
This gives me a dedicated setup that’s reliable, compact, and built for movement. The stabilization is the main reason I went for it — footage stays smooth even on rough roads.
How I Use It
I usually mount it on the windshield or near the dash, hit record before driving, and just let it run.
Sometimes I use it handheld for quick clips, but most of the time it’s just there capturing the drive without me thinking about it.
What I Like
- Very good stabilization, footage looks smooth without extra work
- Compact and doesn’t block my view inside the car
- Quick to set up and start recording
- Handles heat better than using a phone
Anything to Note
Battery life is decent but not crazy long if you’re recording continuously. I usually keep an extra battery if I know I’ll be out longer.
